UAE to Deport Afghan Refugees who Fought with U.S. Troops Back to Afghanistan Overnight in a Deal Made Under Duress

WASHINGTON, D.C.— Human rights and religious freedom advocates are sounding the alarm on news of a deal just exposed to deport Afghan allies who fought with American troops in the Afghanistan war and their families are back to Afghanistan.

BREAKING: Taliban terrorist regime moves to target U.S. Afghan allies trapped in refugee camp in UAE for apx four years. The UAE camp took their passports, ordered them to a hall & brought Taliban terrorists to force them to “self -deport” with a fake promise of “amnesty”.

While hundreds of thousands poured across the southern border illegally, these families have been waiting patiently for the legal process to work.

Please, God,  do not let them be murdered by this terrorist regime. I have known some of them for over 20 years. These are true allies of the U.S. in Afghanistan, unlike those who lied their way in.

At least two of the remaining men fought alongside U.S. troops, confirms a source who helped with their evacuation to the UAE to Save the Persecuted Christians (STPC).

“I know of two brave men who fought for America, still there with their families. They made a deal with the Taliban to deport them back tomorrow at noon, 3:30 a.m. ET.  Blow up every congressman, VP, Trump, Rubio, and State Dept official you know,” said Save the Persecuted Christians Chairwoman Suzanne Grishman.

The 32 people who will be sent back to Afghanistan are a couple of families with multiple children whose fathers bravely fought the Taliban with U.S. forces.”

Suzanne Grishman is also executive director of Mercury One and the Nazarene Fund, which provided emergency evacuation airlifts during the disastrous U.S. withdrawal in August 2021.

“These families have languished in the UAE for years like prisoners,” says STPC Executive Director Dede Laugesen, who helped with flight manifests and logistics during the withdrawal and sponsored a family through the UAE’s Humanitarian City, then on to resettlement in Australia. “America made promises to those who courageously helped her troops fight the Taliban, and Americans expect those promises to be upheld.”

Save the Persecuted Christians is urging Americans to immediately contact their elected officials in Congress at (202) 224-3121 to advocate for these families not to be returned to Afghanistan.
